Mr. Jay D. Debertin has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of CHS, Inc. since May 22, 2017 and served as its Chief Operating Officer of Energy and Foods and Executive Vice President since January 2011. Mr. Debertin served as the Chief Operating Officer and an Executive Vice President of CHS energy business and Ventura Foods, LLC since January 2011. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Processing at CHS Inc. since 2005. He was responsible for oilseed processing operations, as well as joint venture relationships in wheat milling through Horizon Milling, LLC. He was responsible for CHS strategic direction in renewable fuels. Mr. Debertin served as Senior Vice President, Energy Operations of CHS since January 2001. He joined the former Cenex in 1984 and its petroleum division and held a variety of positions in energy marketing operations. He served as Vice President of Crude Oil Supply since 1998 and added responsibilities for raw material supply, refining, pipelines and terminals, trading and risk management and transportation since 2001. He serves as the Chairman of National Cooperative Refinery Association. He serves on the Boards of Directors of the National Cooperative Refinery Association, Horizon Milling, LLC and Ventura Foods, LLC. He served as a Director of US BioEnergy Corp. since June 2006. He served as Director of VeraSun Energy Corporation from April 2008 to November 2008. Mr. Debertin holds a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of North Dakota in 1982 and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1984.
