John J. Engel has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of WESCO International Inc. since September 1, 2009. Mr. Engel served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of WESCO Distribution Inc. and its subsidiary, WESCO International, Inc. from July 2004 to September 1, 2009. Mr. Engel was responsible for branch-based distribution operations and related headquarters and field support functions at WESCO. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of

Previously, Mr. Engel served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer beginning in July 2004. Mr. Engel served from 2003 to 2004 as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Gateway Inc. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Engel served as an Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President of Perkin Elmer, Inc. In addition, Mr. Engel was a Vice President and General Manager of Allied Signal from 1994 to 1999 and held various management positions in General Electric from 1985 to 1994.
