Mr. Doyle R. Simons has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Weyerhaeuser Co. since August 1, 2013. Mr. Simons served as the Chairman and Chief Executive officer at TIN Inc. He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Temple-Inland Inc. from December 29, 2007 to February 2012. He served as an Executive Vice President of Temple-Inland Inc., from February 7, 2005 to 2007 and was responsible for all financial, administrative and investor relations functions within Temple-Inland Inc. He joined Temple-Inland in 1992. He served as the Chief Administrative Officer of Temple-Inland Inc. from November 10, 2003 to February 7, 2005, Vice President of Administration from November 2000 to November 2003 and Director of Investor Relations from 1994 to 2000. He served as an Advisory Director of Guaranty Bank. He was an Attorney in private practice with Hutcheson and Grundy, L.L.P. in Houston. He has more than 20 years experience in business, law and financial services. He serves as First Vice Chairman of American Forest Paper Association Inc. He has been an Independent Director of Fiserv Inc. since August 21, 2007. He has been a Director of Weyerhaeuser Co. since June 29, 2012. He served as a Director of Temple-Inland Inc. since 2007. Mr. Simons serves as a Director of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, the Advisory Council of the College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas, and the Texas Memorial Museum Advisory Council of The University of Texas. He serves on the Board of Visitors of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is active in civic affairs and is a Member of the State Bar of Texas. He is a Member of the Texas Governor's Business Council. He has a Doctor at Jurisprudence from the University of Texas and completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University.

It owns or controls more than 6 million acres of timberlands, primarily in the U.S., and manages another 14 million acres under long-term licenses in Canada. The company also manufactures wood and cellulose fiber products. Weyerhaeuser is a real estate investment trust.[2]
