Mr. Thomas R. Greco, also known as Tom, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Advance Auto Parts, Inc. since April 11, 2016 and has been its President since August 14, 2016. Mr. Greco served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Frito-Lay North America, Inc. from September 2011 to March 30, 2016. Mr. Greco served as the President of Frito-Lay, Inc. since September 2011 until March 30, 2016 and served as its President of Sales since July 5, 2006. He served as an Executive Vice President of Pepsi Co. Inc. since September 2011 until September 2014. He served as the Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President of Pepsi Beverages Company at Pepsico, Inc. from February 2010 to September 14, 2011. He served as the President of Sales of PepsiCo since June 26, 2006 and served as its Executive Vice President of Sales - North America Beverages since August 2009 and Chief Customer Officer. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of North America Beverages (NAB), where he was responsible for leading NAB's commercial efforts across North America. He served as the Senior Vice President of Sales at Frito-Lay, Inc. He was responsible for the "Power of One" cross-divisional sales strategy. Mr. Greco, a PepsiCo executive with 20 years experience, as Senior Vice President of Sales at Frito-Lay North America. He was responsible for driving PepsiCo's successful "Power of One" cross-divisional sales strategy, leveraging the combined strengths and capabilities of all its businesses under a unified approach to customers. Since 2001, he served as Chief Customer Officer for Frito-Lay North America. Mr. Greco's extensive career with PepsiCo started in 1986 at Frito Lay Canada, where he held a variety of positions in sales and marketing and ultimately rose to become a Vice President. Prior to joining PepsiCo, Mr. Greco worked at Procter & Gamble. He served as Region Vice President in the Midwest of Frito-Lay's U.S. business and also served as President of Frito Lay Canada in 1999. Since 2003, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for FLNA. He serves as a Director of the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the Dallas Stars Advisory Board. He has been a Director of Advance Auto Parts, Inc. since April 11, 2016. He served as a Director of G&K Services Inc. from July 10, 2014 to March 21, 2017. He is a dedicated supporter of many charitable organizations including the American Heart Association Heart Walk in Dallas and Raleigh, JDRF, Building Homes for Heroes and United Way. Mr. Greco holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario and an Honors Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Laurentian University.
Advance Auto Parts, is headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia,[1] and is now the largest retailer of automotive replacement parts and accessories in the United States[2] by store count after acquiring CARQUEST in October 2013. AAP was founded in 1932 and had 2011 sales of approximately $6.2 billion. AAP operates over 3,800 stores in forty U.S. states and has over 55,000 employees.
In 2005, Advance Auto Parts purchased Autopart International, Inc. which operates 202 stores along the Atlantic Seaboard.[3][4] As of 2014, Autopart International still operates as a separate division within Advance Auto.
In 2013 AAP Purchased General Parts Inc. including CARQUEST, CARQUEST Canada and WorldPac for $2.04 billion.[5][6]
